Deep Heritage & Superior Craftsmanship
King Henri Christophe Whiskey is driven by a passion to merge the rich traditions of Haitian spirits with American whiskey-making expertise. Our mission is to create a unique whiskey that honors Haitian heritage while showcasing American craftsmanship, providing a premium spirit experience. We celebrate our values of heritage, craftsmanship, and sustainability in every bottle.
Reports suggest that barrels discovered in the Citadelle Laferrière contain a 200-year-old spirit, believed to have been crafted for King Henri Christophe himself. If verified, this historic blend, dubbed King Henri Christophe, House of Clicquot Reserve, would stand as an unparalleled rarity in the world of fine spirits.
Adding to its mystique is the legacy of Emmanuel Fritz Paret, whose personal history weaves seamlessly into the brand’s narrative. A direct descendant of the esteemed Clicquot family, Paret’s lineage traces back to his great-grandmother, Marie Clicquot (born in 1910), a third-generation granddaughter of Philippe Clicquot, the visionary founder of Champagne Veuve Clicquot in 1672.
This rich heritage of craftsmanship, excellence, and innovation is embodied in every bottle of King Henri Christophe whiskey, a testament to centuries of refinement and tradition.

Long Live The King
Henri Christophe (6 October 1767-8 October 1820) was a prominent figure in the Haitian Revolution and the sole monarch of the Kingdom of Haiti. Rising from the Bambara ethnicity of West Africa, he emerged as a leader in the Haitian revolutionary military, eventually securing Haiti’s independence from France in 1804. He played a significant role in the capture of Santo Domingo in 1805. Following Jean-Jacques Dessalines’s assassination, Christophe established a separate government in the north, where he was elected president in 1807 and later proclaimed himself Henry 1. King of Haiti, in 1811. Notable for his architectural projects, including Citadel Henry [Citadelle Laferrière) and Sans-Souci Palace, Christophe implemented policies of forced labor, which sparked resentment among the Haitian people. Despite his efforts to secure Haiti’s stability, he faced opposition and ultimately died by suicide in 1820, followed by the assassination of his son and heir, Jacques-Victor. His death marked the ascension of General Jean-Pierre Boyer, who reunited the divided nation.
